I have said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m no amazing chef. I enjoy cooking anything fast and easy — it’s rare that I make a big, fancy dinner. With a two-year-old who loves something one day, then hates it the next, I just don’t have it in me to cook anything too crazy. I was excited when Mezzetta asked me to share a recipe using one of their Marinara Sauces because the recipe below immediately came to mind. It’s been a hit with my friends for years! What is it?! Little crescent roll pizzas! They’re super simple and they’re delicious. You only need a few ingredients, and they’re ready in less than 20 minutes… Making them the perfect dinner on a busy week night.
- One Package Original Crescent Rolls
- Four Sticks of String Cheese
- Marinara Sauce
- Pizza Toppings of Your Choice
- Garlic Powder
- Preheat oven to 375°
- Unroll your crescent rolls onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Cut your string cheese in half, and place one on each crescent roll.
- Place your other pizza toppings in your crescent roll.
- Roll up your crescent roll to keep all of your ingredients inside.
- Sprinkle garlic powder on top of each roll.
- Cook in oven for 8-12 minutes. (10 minutes is always perfect for us!)
I am excited to partner with Mezzetta on this post, because the quality of their food is amazing. I spend so much time reading labels, trying to find food without scary, artificial ingredients. The sauces in the Mezzetta Marinara are simple, rich and real. They focus on using the fewest, freshets and finest ingredients. In the Italian Plum Tomato Marinara we used, the only ingredients are Italian plum tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, fresh onions, sea salt, fresh garlic, black pepper, spices and fresh basil. I love that the ingredients are real and all natural.
Mezzetta is giving away a trip to Italy to one lucky winner and a guest. The trip includes a cooking class and a farm tour in the San Marzano region of Italy and explore other cities of Italy. (The Grand Prize trip consists of the round trip coach air transportation between the major commercial airport nearest winner’s residence and Rome, Italy, the culinary experience and tour of Italy.) You can enter through Mezzetta’s website. Good luck!
Are you going to try these super easy crescent rolls? Do you think your little ones will like them? I’d love to hear your thoughts in a Comment! xo
