Yes, yes, we know we’re having a boy, so we don’t necessarily need to have a gender neutral nursery. But I just can’t get over how much I love a simple, gray and white room. So we painted the wood trim white and the walls Agreeable Gray (by Sherwin Williams). I didn’t want to be too boring, so we are using the little pom pom basket and blanket to add a little bit of color to the room. The glider and ottoman we have from Blaire’s nursery are grey and white, and the crib and dresser are both white, so I love how clean, bright and simple everything looks.
I think decorating a baby nursery is so much fun. Everything is adorable and it’s exciting to think about the little life who will be calling it his room in just 10 (give or take!) more weeks. Blaire and I like to hang out in there at night. The rug is SO soft, making it the perfect place to sit and sort through baby things or get some work done. Blaire loves to put her baby in the crib and wind up the little lamb she received from her Godmother after her baptism. Then we wait for the baby to “wake up” and we swaddle baby in baby brother’s blankets. While I’m nervous about how we’re going to handle the transition from one to two, I know Blaire is going to be a great big sister! I just hope she has some patience for her mom when her baby brother comes along.
