I am so, so excited to finally share our exciting news! We are expecting baby no. 2! We are so excited/happy/nervous for Blaire to become a big sister. She talks about the baby every day… including telling us that the baby in her belly is making her tummy hurt. (Maybe I shouldn’t have tried to explain my “morning” sickness to her?! lol.) We have been praying for baby 2 for quite awhile now, so we feel incredibly blessed it’s finally happening. God’s timing is the best!
Blaire was a sweet little frank breech baby, which means she was butt down, with her head, hands and feet all up in my rib cage. …This resulted in a scheduled C Section for me. I had several friends who had C Sections, and I did tons of research, so I felt really comfortable with what I should expect from my C Section. Well… Some things I was right about some things and wrong about others.

When I was putting together my baby registry, I focused entirely on things for our baby. I knew I’d need things for myself, but just figured I’d grab them at some point before Blaire was born. A week or two before my C Section, I hit up Target for the things I thought I’d need: one nursing tank and one nightgown. I thought I was set! (Insert crazy laugh here.)
We LOVE bows around here. Lately we’ve just been grabbing whatever we see at Target or Carters, which is fine, but they don’t exactly switch it up often… Which is boring! While I was on my work trip in Atlanta, my time in the hotel each night gave me time to online shop. I found the Little Poppy Co bow subscription and I had to order it. Well, we got our June subscription and they’re adorable. The Chambray bow is our FAVE because, well, Chambray goes with everything! And these little nylon headbands are so cool! They weren’t even a thing when Blaire was a baby and now they’re everywhere. I love that they’re a one size fits all.
The day is finally here… We are officially potty training. Blaire has been interested in using the potty for months and months, but has always gone in waves when it comes to asking us to use it on her own. I’ve taken things into my own hands and am now asking her if she has to go. And giving her special treats anytime she’ll try.
